The below listed Bariatric Casualty Moving & Handling Training courses are now available through Bariquins. The courses are designed for practical insight into the care of plus-size people within emergency scenarios or situations where hoists are unavailable, including where time constraints exists. The courses focus on the demands that this causes.
Initial 1 Day Course.
Intermediate 2 Day Course.
Advanced 3 Day (Train-the-Trainer) Course.
The Initial and Intermediate Courses provide training for a maximum 12 candidates per course.
The Advanced Course holds a maximum 6 candidates, all of whom must have successfully completed the Intermediate Training, which forms the first 2 days of the 3 day course.

The below listed Bariatric Patient Moving & Training courses are now available through Bariquins. The courses have been created to give a practical insight into the care of plus-size people within the health and social care environment, highlighting the specific challenges that this brings.
Moving & Handling the Plus-Size Patient. A one day course.
Moving & Handling the Plus-Size Patient plus Emergency Evacuation of Plus-Size Immobile People & First Aid for the Bariatric Casualty. This is a two day course (first day Movement & Handling. Second day consists of half a day on Bariatric EVAC training and half a day on Bariatric First Aid training).
Moving & Handling the Plus-Size Patient Train-the Trainers Course, duration 5 days.
The training sessions are for classes of 9 trainees and can be held at the host organisation's premises or at another location if suitable classroom facilities are not available. There is a minimum of two trainers per course.
All courses use Bariquins training mannequins to aid instruction.
